This track is for IT professionals who are faced with the new challenges of the ever-changing database environment and need to be prepared to work efficiently with other professionals involved in Enterprise Database System. This track addresses the diverse range of topics that DBA's face when working on the production database environment, as well as when interfacing with application integration, web integration, capacity planning, database warehousing and security.
Database & Application Development
The primary audience for this track is developers and database administrators who are focused on building and supporting successful applications using SQL Server and related technologies. This track provides the in-depth knowledge from industry experts, as well as other developers who have successfully used the technologies to solve complex tasks and build real solutions. The track is designed to cover all aspects of SQL Server and related application development such as architectural design, coding, testing troubleshooting, data access methods, optimization etc.
BI Platform Architecture, Development and Administration (NEW!)
Designed for BI architects, developers and administrators, this technical track focuses on BI infrastructure, administration, architecture and development on the Microsoft BI Platform. You will find deep technical content about Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services and Data Mining, SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Master Data Services, and SQL Server Reporting Services. Focus will be placed on best practices and lessons learnt, upgrade and migration as well as upcoming technologies. On Infrastructure and Administration, you will encounter topics such as installation, configuration, hardware, scale-up & scale-out, deployment, administration & management of BI features and security. Architecture and Development topics will range from BI/DW architecture, modeling, data integration, development and security implementation, and embedded BI. ces, Visio and .NET. Topics will include scorecards, dashboards, and self-service BI.
BI Information Delivery (NEW!)
Designed for BI architects, application developers as well as BI analysts, this track addresses the implementation and use of the front-end technologies that deliver BI to the end users and also technologies that will enable self-service BI. It will cover concepts and implementation, best-practices and lessons learnt through deep technical content and will include upcoming technologies to prepare organizations for the future. Specific technologies include SharePoint Server, Performance Point Services, Project Gemini, Report Builder, Excel and Excel Services, Visio and .NET. Topics will include scorecards, dashboards, and self-service BI.

This track offers something for every professional DBA, whether they are an administrator, developer, or BI expert. It includes sessions to help further your career, including sessions on technical writing, speaking, project management, career advice, interviewing for a new job, making the move into management, among others.
